Now over 90 years old, Martha’s grandmother continues to travel the world and share her adventures with her granddaughter. And Martha has followed in her footsteps. She’s been around the globe and back again; she even spent her honeymoon on a photo safari in South Africa, coming within inches of lions, giraffes and elephants. But it isn’t just her grandmother’s love for travel that has been a lasting influence in Martha’s life. A fourth generation Austinite, Martha has always been encouraged to blaze her own path. After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Martha didn’t hesitate to pursue her dream of an acting career. She hit the ground running when she arrived in Hollywood, eventually landing a guest role on an episode of the television series Once and Again, where she also served as Sela Ward’s double. She might have remained in Hollywood, but once she became an aunt, the pull of family and the relaxed and friendly atmosphere of her childhood town brought her back to Austin.
