Old Enfield

The Old Enfield Neighborhood is found between 15th Street and Windsor Road, bordered by Mo Pac and Lamar Blvd. Historic, colonial style homes along with quaint cottages built from 1900-1950 dot the streets of this well known neighborhood. Convenience to the center of town is key, with lots of shopping and amenities nearby. Yet this quiet neighborhood often stands undiscovered despite the diverse architectural styles and attractive homes. The Pease Governors Mansion is the cornerstone of Old Enfield, not to be missed with its expansive, minimalist yard and gardens. You will find a recently renovated Pease Park with playgrounds, open space and a spash pad; host to Eyore’s Picnic every spring. This neighborhood feeds to some of Austin’s finest public schools, yet is very close to many private school opportunities as well (St. Andrews Episcopal, Good Shephard, Westminister Presbyterian Day School, Trinity Episcopal School, St. Austin’s Catholic School).
